The History Behind Our Investment Association
T ransforming the traditional “Edere” into a share holder based business group.
Our business group started as a traditional “Edere” organization where the members contribute money every month to develop a safety net for the “Edere” members. During difficult times, the “Edere” pays out to the member who lost loved ones and the members support the member with both emotional and physical needs.
While this Ethiopian self help tradition provides support during tough times, there was a need to expand this service where all members benefit by taking a business approach. This meant transforming the traditional “Edere” into a share holder based business group to provide both business and social benefit. Pursuant to this goal, EUSDA was incorporated in the State of Virginia on October 28, 2016.

EUSDA is governed by elected Board of Directors who are responible to make Important investment Decisions. The current transition leadership of EUSA is from our former “Edere” leadership team. This transition team is dedicated to successfully implement the business group by-law and pass the baton to the next leadership Board.
